My husband left me in November 2009 without a forwarding address, no contact?

my husband left me in 11/09 no contact info or forwarding address, he has a very good job through the union, i am unemployed, no money, no car, and had to file for welfare last week...is there anyway to get alimony or support money from him for a small period of time until I get on my feet and who has to pay for a divorce? He left me for someone else....I am at my wits end, we do not have children together but he left me with a mtg. payment and all the bills (utility) which have been shut off and turned back on by my church.....HELP
