Was this legal or illegal?

A week ago I ask the question,"Am I really overreacting?" and I understand I should remain in Japan and forget anything prior to 2005,but after talking to some of my friends.I am starting to wonder,if gettin g whipped with a belt until my *** had welts on it is actually abuse or if a plastic race car track is wrong.I mean of course it hurt to sit down!But D. is a tall rather skinny man and maybe it was just my mind and adrenaline hyping me up?Jeans absorb a lot of the force,right?And welts are temporary,right?Most of my friends say,"It's a black thang!"Was it legally abuse?
