Any answers on how to stop puffy, red, itchy eyes?

I know I have allergies and that could be why my eyes have this problem. But no allergy medications have fully helped. The only thing that has helped is oral or cream steroids from my doctor which I can only stay on for a short period of time obviously. My eyes can become very swollen and as a result they turn dry and even wrinkly! I'm a 19 year old girl and sometimes it looks as if I have the under eyes of an 80 yr old. I just want my eyes to look normal again, if you have any suggestions or have had the same problem as me please let me know, it'd be greatly appreciated!! Thank you! -Amanda
