Did vietnam save cambodia?
I agree that Vietnam saved Cambodia. The war they fought, which was won easily by Vietnam, helped to bring down Pol Pot and his cronies. Cambodia was such a wreck from the Khmer Rouge's ideas of an agrarian style of Communism. Whole cities and villages were deserted because they forced the people out into the country to work on their "farms." Thousands were dying each week and the war saved millions of other lives. Pol Pot should not have ordered a preemptive attack on Vietnam, that was a foolish idea on his part, but at least it caused his downfall. It was sad that he still thought that he was right and that the people loved his ideas.
