My mom always gets upset when i dont "tell her about my day" what am i supposed to say?

She just wants to feel like she is part of your life and probably to let you know that you matter. A parent asking how your day ways is pretty standard, my mom would do that when I was a kid and now that i'm 43 she still does. You don't have to give her every detail, just a few tidbits (.....lunch was good today....my teacher did this or that today....).
